HYBRIA presents WORKSHOP, the engineering club of HYBRIA. Animated by students, WORKSHOP aims to create engineering projects (self-training shoes, arcade terminal), to allow students to be trained (3D printer, electricity…), or to answer calls for projects.
Led by the international pole, the Horizon Club aims to promote cosmopolitan exchanges within the schools and in partner countries. Horizon organizes events during Erasmus Days, cultural and social experiences throughout the academic year for French and international students. The Horizon club is also responsible for the implementation of a “Buddy System” which allows international students to be sponsored by French students. The latter can offer language support, advice and information on campus life. Everyone benefits from intercultural exchanges.
The Horizon Club has several objectives :
> To allow students to open up to the international world;
> To meet new people;
> To help international students integrate into the campus and the city;
> To help integrate international students on campus and in the city;
> To organize events to promote exchange between students;
> Organize events to promote exchange between students;
> Make members buddies (for international students).
During the year several events are organized:
>Welcome drink;
> Cineclub;
> Board game evenings;
> Theme evenings (e.g. music from home, local cuisine, tradition etc.);
> Bring and share” evening to share typical dishes.
Social networks are no longer enough to launch or develop your business. Joining an entrepreneurs’ club is essential.
This is why Hybria and Eklya have decided to create a club to help students in their entrepreneurial process. The first mission of this club will be to break the solitude of the entrepreneur to discuss among entrepreneurs, benefit from the experience of others, expand its network, develop its skills, its vision and its business. The club is meant to be a gas pedal when things are going well and a support network when times are tough.
The club will meet once every two weeks in a room dedicated to members. This room will be available for any professional needs (calls, appointments, coworking). On a regular basis, the club will have the opportunity to host a speaker at a breakfast or round table. The speaker will share his or her experiences, successes and difficulties during a friendly exchange.
THE COMPANY FORUM
This event, highly anticipated by our students, allows partner companies to meet and recruit students for an internship or a permanent job. Inspired by “speed dating”, these “speed recruiting” sessions offer companies the opportunity to meet several of our Hybrien.ne.s, ready to compete and show the best of their skills.
TALENT DAY
The objective is to allow the Hybrien.ne.s to participate in different workshops for their future internship search. A total of 10 different themes are proposed to them according to their level of training. The learners are divided into sub-groups for a better interactivity between them and with the speakers during the day. Among the themes proposed to HYBRIA’s learners have already been the construction of CVs, simulations of individual or group interviews, an awareness of social networks, an intervention on salary negotiation…
Numerous corporate events are organized throughout the year:

The campus in Lyon West Ecully gathers more than 9 000 students from 8 different schools : HYBRIA, EKLYA, emLYON Business School, Ecole Centrale de Lyon, Institut Paul Bocuse, CESI, ITECH, ISOsthéo. Minutes from the dynamic centre of Lyon, the area clusters modern infrastructure and equipment, sporting areas and wooded surroundings.
